Athletic Code  | | | I. Eligibility A. All ACEA rules are followed. B. Athletes must take Bible classes. C. Athletes should maintain an average of 70 in each class taken for both fall and spring sports. D. All athletes must have a physical examination from a certified physician before the sport being played has started. E. All athletes must have proof of hospital insurance on file. F. Students in grade six are eligible for organized sports if ACEA standards are met. | II. Dress Code A. Athletes must follow the uniform dress code. This dress code will be determined at a later date. B. Spectators dress code must meet school specifications. C. Practice tops must meet school dress code. No tank tops. This rule is for both boys & girls. D. Practice shorts must be knee length or you must wear knee length spandex under the shorts.
Violations: One violation due to emergency conditions will be forgiven. A second violation will result in no participation during the athletic contest
III. Attendance A. Students must attend school one-half of the school day on game day. Any exception to this rule will require the approval of the administrator and coach. B. Students must be in school on the day after the game. Any exception to this rule will require the approval of the administrator and coach. C. Students that are absent from school are not allowed to attend practice without the approval of the administrator and coach. D. Students that have more than one unexcused absence from practice must get the approval of the administrator and coach before participating in any future athletic events. E. Students that miss two games will be dismissed from the team unless there is a catastrophic condition.
IV. Transportation A. All students must ride the school sponsored mode of transportation to and from all games unless parents have prior approval from the coach and administrator. B. Students must be on time for departure on game day or they will be left. This will result in an unexcused absence. C. Students must have a pick-up ride upon their return from games.
V. Liability MVCA will assume no responsibility for any injury that occurs during any extra-curricular activity at any time.
VI. Conduct Students, parents, and fans must conduct themselves in a Christ like manner at all times during a school sponsored event.
