CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE

School is dismissed at 2:30 p.m. Any student that exits the campus before 2:30 p.m. must check-out in the office. It is recommended that students not check out early unless there is a very VALID reason for doing so. Students may not change out of dress code attire before leaving campus without permission from the administration. Any student leaving school during the school day without permission from the office or administration will be counted unexcused and will be suspended. No child care will be provided for students past 5:30 p.m.

FIELD TRIPS/COLLEGE DAYS

Classes take trips to interesting and educational places from time to time as a vital part of the instructional program. Parents will be notified beforehand as to when the field trip will take place. Small fees may be charged to cover expenses. The school may require certain dress for field trips. Any student who has behavioral problems or who has been sent out of class for inappropriate behavior may not be allowed to attend a field trip or go on college days. A student not eligible to attend a field trip will be required to be at school on the given day and will be given assignments
to be completed and returned for grades.

ILLNESS

A child who is running a fever, is contagious, or too ill to participate fully in classroom activities should be kept at home. A student who becomes ill during the day will be allowed to rest comfortably until his/her parents can be notified and he/she can be picked up from school. Student drivers who become ill during school hours may not leave campus until a parent has been advised of their departure and given their approval. A student must be free of fever, vomiting, and diarrhea 24 hours before returning to school.

PHONE USAGE

The school phone cannot be used during class unless it is an emergency. All phone calls must be cleared by the office and a legitimate reason must be given for the usage.

STUDENT PARKING

All students that attend MVCA and drive to school must have a valid drivers license and liability insurance. Students must exhibit safe driving habits in order to continue their privilege to drive. A parking space will be afforded each student on the MVCA campus. There will be no charge for this privilege. Failure to cooperate fully with the administration concerning driving will result in revocation of the students driving privilege. Students should not drive other students to school unless they have the permission of both the parents and the Principal. You will not be able to access your vehicle during school hours without adult supervision. Loud music or engine noise will not be tolerated while the vehicle is in the parking lot or around the school campus. While parked on the MVCA campus, vehicles are subject to be searched. Students that finish their number of units required for graduation may leave campus early if they have the permission of both the parents and the Principal. Students that check-out must leave the campus at the time of their checkout. Returning to campus after checking out requires the permission of the Principal.
