CURRICULUM MVCA uses the A-BEKA and Bob Jones curriculum , as well as the King James Version of the Holy Bible for teaching purposes. GRADING SCALE 90-100 A 80-89 B 70-79 C 60-69 D 0-59 F

 Promotion/Retention

Promotion will be based on the yearly grade totals. Promotion will not be allowed if two or more core classes are failed. The core classes are Math, English, Science, & History. A passing grade from an acceptable summer school program may be substituted for a failing grade to be considered for promotion.

PROGRESS REPORTS

Grading periods will be nine weeks with a four week progress report.

VALEDICTORIAN/SALUTATORIAN

The valedictorian will have the highest GPA in the graduating class. The second highest GPA of the graduating class will be the salutatorian. Grades 9-12 will be used for averaging the students GPA. One PE grade will be counted
and no teacher’s aide grades will be counted toward the GPA average. Only advanced diploma students are eligible for valedictorian or salutatorian.
