OUR PHILOSOPHY OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

We believe in the importance of developing Christ-like character in the lives of young people, emphasizing high moral values and Biblical standards, instilling character-building traits that will help young people exhibit the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.  We believe Christian education must be built on the word of God, which should be integrated into every curricular and extracurricular activity.  We believe the institution upon which Christian education rests must be the home with the cooperation of the Christian school.  We believe the Christian school should be an extension of the teaching ministry of the local church in its attempt to fulfill the Great Commission.  We believe in a traditional, structured, college-preparatory curriculum that promotes academic excellence within a safe and secure educational environment, emphasizing respect for authority, discipline, self-control and diligence.

OUR ACADEMICS

Mellow Valley Christian Academy is a member of the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS) and the Alabama Christian Education Association (ACEA).  We believe in the process of continuous improvement in all academic areas, including curricula, teaching methods, tests and measurements, and other educational programs.  We maintain a five-year plan for continuous school improvement.

OUR CHAPEL SERVICES

We conduct exciting chapel services on a weekly basis. Students are encouraged and challenged to be changed into God’s image through Christ-honoring music and the preaching of the word of God.
